Merry Christmas!
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Day, with good friends and loved ones, plenty to eat, lots of laughs and a thoroughly great time.
Thanks for coming by through the year, and for all the comments and bloggy fun.

(I just went to stuff the turkey and roast it all ready for tomorrow. The bastard — bought ready to bang in the oven — is frozen inside. Sigh ... )

yep, that's why I go for the turkey roll - all fresh all the way through and no-one has to have the leg. Mind you, doesn't quite look the same as a turkey.

Happy Christmas!

Oh, I hope the turkey worked out! Too late for good advice now, but did you put the whole thing in a bucket of cold water? That's what defrosts it the fastest, we've found. I guess because I've got to do the whole turkey thing every year I've met all the disasters before (was the bag of giblets inside there, keeping it icy? I usually pull that out a couple of days before). Although of course you thought you weren't buying a frozen bird.... I do hope it all worked out all right. My mishap for Christmas dinner was not reading the recipe carefully enough; I brined the pork tenderloin in a mixture that was supposed to have been greatly diluted (and you know, I *thought* it seemed like a lot of salt) but luckily it worked out all right.

Never a dull moment.h
