Monday weigh-in
Thanks to healthy meals like, umm, yesterday's deeply green bean-and-spinach soup ...
... and resolutely saying no to sugar, chocolate (almost), biscuits, butter and coffee (the caffeine withdrawal headache lasted two and a half days — I was stoic), and thanks to long walks and ever-longer and harder sessions on the exercise bike, I have lost just over 0.5 kg (1.2 lbs) since this regime started last Wednesday.
And this is also despite going to dinner on Saturday night with really seriously foodie friends who prepared a dazzling four-course meal designed around about seventeen different wines. So that's pretty darned good.
Dave has lost more than twice this.

This reminds me of the sign I saw in a cafe earlier this week advertising 'cheese and spinage salad'. I hesitated as to whether I should suggest a correction but the man behind the counter was much bigger than me so decided in the end to let it go.
